ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum two years experience working in student academic success advising student athletes in a University or similar academic setting
- A solid understanding of Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and U SPORTS eligibility rules required
- Familiarity with University of Toronto academic rules, regulations, and student support resources on all 3 campuses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse group of students and University colleagues
- Knowledge in the practical application of student development theory and academic learning strategies
- Good problem solving, multi tasking and organization skills
- Demonstrated initiative and motivation and ability to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced diverse environment

Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Implementing plans and process improvements for programs and service activity
- Creating and updating students records maintaining confidentiality of information. Processing all academic conflict letters
- Promoting departmental events and programs to students and delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives
- Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials and editing content for brochures, newsletters, websites and handbook.
- Liaising with various stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure consistent administration procedures are followed.
- Determining the logistical details and activities for events and/or programming, coordinating the schedule for programs and event calendar and handling expenses for events. This includes coordinating admission related questions, materials and meetings with prospective students/recruits
- Directing the activities of casual staff and submit time sheets for data processing
- Keeping well informed on student service programs across all three campus, and providing advice/guidance as it relates to athletic eligibility
