Job Overview:
Job Title: Youth Programs Coordinator
Department: Tamwood International Camps
Location: Vancouver
Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round
The Youth Programs Coordinator is a key member of the Tamwood International Camps team, providing year-round administrative and operational support to the camp management staff. This role contributes to the smooth execution of all camp programs by coordinating logistics, managing communications, and assisting with pre-season planning and post-season evaluation. The Coordinator works closely with the Manager of Youth Programs and the Director of Programming as well as other departments to deliver high-quality experiences for campers and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or operational support roles, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and online registration platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak camp periods.
  • Experience in youth programming or international education is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support:
  • Assist in the development and execution of camp operational plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases related to camp operations.
  • Respond to inquiries from parents during camp season.
  1. Program Coordination:
  • Support the planning and organization of camp activities, excursions, and special events.
  • Work with camp management staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
  • Assist in the onboarding, and training of seasonal staff.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-camp materials, including schedules, staff manuals, and camper welcome packages.
  1. Marketing & Communications:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns and social media initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from campers, parents, and staff to enhance future camp experiences.
  1. Logistics & Operations:
  • Assist in organizing staff travel, accommodation, and transportation logistics.
  • Coordinate facility bookings and ensure readiness for the camp season.
  1. Post-Season Analysis:
  • Assist with the evaluation of camp programs and prepare reports with key insights and recommendations.
  • Support the collection and analysis of camper and staff feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings to enhance future camp seasons.
