SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION

• Work in concert with production staff, production controllers, production supervisor and production manager to properly prioritize issues and bottlenecks related to parts shortages, non-quality and any other blocking issues.
• Proposes proactive solutions, and ensures their execution, to customer sector managers to unblock bottlenecks, production stoppages such as personnel exchange, coordination to find alternative parts , etc.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activities/issues with engineering, quality assurance, procurement, production control, etc.
• Anticipate the various potential issues related to the supply and capacity of production sectors in order to meet the requirements of the master production schedule.
• Acts as guardian of the flow of his client sector and facilitates the coordination of various initiatives with the team leader and the supervisor, acts as the right arm of the production director.
• Represents the sector at various management meetings to discuss problems and possible solutions, implements corrective actions and prepares presentations as needed.
• Participation in the feasibility of SIOP requests and making recommendations to the client sector director.
• Identify the causes of deviations in performance measurements, initiate action plans and ensure their implementation in order to respect the delivery plan.
• Work in close collaboration as an expert with the material flow project coordinator (CPP) on continuous improvements and structuring strategic projects.
• Provide resource support for R&D activities as needed and support the introduction of configuration changes on the line.

EXIGENCES DU POSTE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Posséder une formation universitaire. Gestion des opérations serait un atout; ou tout autres expériences jugées équivalentes spécialement dans le secteur manufacturier
• Minimum de 6 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire
• Connaissance de la suite Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Connaissance d’un système de gestion intégré ERP tel que SAP serait un atout
• Connaissance des environnements de production
• Maîtrise du français (parlé et écrit) et connaissance de l’anglais (parlé et écrit)

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a university education.
• Operations management would be an asset; or any other experience deemed equivalent, especially in the manufacturing sector
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of an ERP integrated management system such as SAP would be an asset
• Knowledge of production environments
• Fluency in French (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of English (spoken and written)
