Description:

Corporate Legal Counsel
Are you ready to work closely with the business in a highly informal and action-oriented environment? And would you like working along with great colleagues in leading C25 company in historic growth phase?
Royal Unibrew is a global beverage producer with approximately 4,500 employees worldwide. We are experiencing significant global growth and achieved a revenue of over DKK 12.9 billion in 2023. Royal Unibrew is the company behind brands such as Faxe Kondi, Booster, Pepsi, and many other well-known names.
Do you have a broad legal skill set with a strong focus on a diverse range of contracts? Are you seeking a role where you can be challenged and achieve tangible results through direct interaction with the business?
Can you, like us, see the excitement and motivation in being part of a culture that keeps things simple – an environment where the path from idea to action is short and straightforward? If so; please read on.
At Royal Unibrew, our business revolves around three key pillars. We produce beverages, which we sell and market. To make this happen, we enter into numerous agreements with customers, suppliers, and other partners. These can range from major M&As to local customer contracts where our standard agreements don’t quite fit.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for someone who thrives in a very informal culture where all doors are open and there is a strong motivation to make things happen. The key word is solutions. You must be able to read people and adjust your communication accordingly, from executives to local sales managers – always with a solution-oriented mindset.

Given the broad scope of your work and the need for a 360-degree business perspective, you must be thorough, structured, creative, and have a well-rounded skill set. You don’t need to know everything, but you should not be set back when things deviate from the norm or when you are challenged. Additionally, your CV includes:

  • A degree in Law (cand.jur.) or Business Law (cand.merc.jur.).
  • At least 3+ years of experience from a law firm or international company (preferably within FMCG).
  • Extensive experience with contracts.
  • Experience with personal advisory.
  • Strong English skills, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities:

A BIT ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

You will spend the majority of your time providing 360-degree, hands-on legal advice on various types of contracts. If this doesn’t sound broad enough, rest assured. In prioritized order, your skills will be put to use in:

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL BE:

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts – with customers, suppliers, distributors, consultants, agencies, license agreements, etc., both domestically and internationally.
  • Providing legal assistance in marketing law, trademark law, corporate law and competition law.
  • Implementing and maintaining the group’s compliance programs.
  • Managing cross-organizational and cross-border projects, (including M&A activities if this has your interest).
  • Monitoring and advising on legislation that may impact the business.
  • Handling disputes and litigation.
  • Collaborating with external lawyers in Denmark and abroad.
Your new workplace will be at Royal Unibrew’s international headquarters in Faxe. Initially, it is important for you to be present at the office to meet your clients and build the right relationships.
Once the foundation is in place, you will have the flexibility to work from home as well. Travel days are limited to approximately 10 per year within Denmark and Europe.

Given the broad scope of your work and the need for a 360-degree business perspective, you must be thorough, structured, creative, and have a well-rounded skill set.
