Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive and reactive scheduling, supporting the Cruise Manager with the daily recs, and day before preparation for the following days scheduled cruises.
  • Using the latest scheduling software, manage the delivery of jobs allocated to the Core/Cruise operation. The Scheduler will, using the systems and processes, ensure that the correct resource is deployed to achieve first time fixes for customers. This will range from using internal officers to subcontractors as appropriate, with the aim of ensuring that the job is attended within the specified SLAs. Once attendance has been met the Scheduler will also manage the completion of required jobs Supporting the Cruise/Core manager as well as ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • You will ensure all systems and equipment are checked in line with procedure and the correct prompt action is taken to rectify any issues.
  • Ensuring correct staffing levels for day-to-day activity across ships is accurate as per client request in line with accurate requirements from the customer per ship.
  • To ensure that the staff are informed as far in advance as possible of allocations and times on roster; Double check schedules prior to confirming with staff to ensure that no duplications of duties have been made
  • Adjust schedule and cover any shortfalls resulting from sickness or absence reported
  • Ensuring that all Service Providers understand what their requirements are weekly including any external contract Mitie support, ensuring they understand dates & timings, cruise locations and site protocols when they arrive for each shift.
  • Ensure standards of dress, safety (PPE) and presentation are always maintained in line with client expectation and report back any requirements to office manager.
  • Provide management support outside of core hours as in business-critical situations.
  • Provision of daily activity reports to the cruise manager or operations manager in the cruise managers absence.
  • Work with Cruise Manager to ensure regular updates are communicated to all staff.
  • Ensure effective time keeping of yourself and staff and be able to evidence this. To conduct investigations on every lateness and incident of absenteeism (inc blowouts).
  • Responsibility for the investigation of staff who fall below the standards expected of Mitie.
  • Be prepared to undertake any reasonable duty as and when required to meet the client’s expectations. To assist with recruitment when & where required.
  • To ensure service delivery levels are being appropriately maintained. Making and implementing appropriate recommendations to improve standards, service and productivity on both short- and medium-term timescales.
  • Ensuring that all security staff have an appropriate understanding of port security and policies, giving advice and instruction as necessary, i.e. SOP’S
  • Ensure patrol system is working and reports available
  • Roster all core positions ensuring gaps are filled and staff advised of roster in advance
  • To accurately record all job-related information on the appropriate IT systems.
  • Arrange third party attendance where required. Raising requests and obtaining required completion information.
  • Ensure all jobs are completed within the required response times and costs.
  • Deal with communications in a professional and prompt manner.
  • Escalate issues with specific managers and clients.
  • Ensure full audit trails are maintained and evidenced where required.
  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager
