Responsibilities:

We are currently recruiting for a Coroner’s Officer, on a permanent contract, to act on behalf and in support of, His Majesty’s Senior Coroner for Gloucestershire by performing investigative and administrative tasks in connection with the occurrence of sudden and reportable deaths within the Gloucestershire Coroner’s Service area.
To be part of our team, and able to deliver this key role, you will need to be confident in dealing sensitively and professionally with people, and in particular those who are vulnerable and/or distressed. You will need to liaise with bereaved families, police, medical personnel and other internal and external agencies as required. You will be able to demonstrate the capability to produce accurate work, paying meticulous attention to detail and you will also be able to clearly evidence an investigative background, excellent organisational and time management skills.
