KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ financial services experience in related position
  • Experience with Corporate Action processing
  • Knowledge on Australian securities, Administration of Portfolio re balances in IPS
  • Knowledge of IRESS products and services
  • Knowledge of Compliance monitoring framework (IPS)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in IRESS IPS
  • MS Excel- Intermediate/ advanced skills
  • Knowledge of domestic and international trading execution and settlement.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity to join our ‘Corporate Actions Services’ Operations team located in our Melbourne office. Responsible for the delivery of Corporate Actions across our Full Service platforms in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring we are adhering to all regulatory requirements and appropriate company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor & process Corporate Action events including dividends, income, distributions, reconstructions, buybacks, share splits, rights etc and be able to determine the correct tax treatment
  • Monitor Corporate Action announcements and tax rulings to identify changes in system requirements & enhancements
  • Updating administration system relating to investment trades, corporate actions, international corporate actions, income receipts and cash movements
  • Identification, escalation and resolution of corporate action issues with particular emphasis on time critical and complex issues and managing custodian deadlines
  • Liaise with Brokers, Clearing and Settlement Participants
  • Reconciliation of cash records, positions and transactions
