As a Corporate Affairs Manager you will manage, protect and enhance AB InBev’s reputation with stakeholders; protect AB InBev’s commercial license to operate; and work towards the best possible business environment for AB InBev’s operations across the Europe Zone territory; with a strong primary focus on the European Union (EU). About the role:

  • You will co-develop (with Director & Vice President) and co-own an overarching & rolling EU corporate affairs strategy to support the delivery of the AB InBev Europe business plan and the delivery of the global corporate affairs strategy.
  • In addition, you will support the corporate affairs objective to drive corporate reputation, entailing you will leverage and drive our ESG agenda further and find new ways to communicate them to stakeholders.
  • You will implement the public affairs strategy at EU level (Council, Commission, Parliament, and other relevant EU bodies) and also oversee & coordinate outreach and strategy implementation in AB InBev’s European Business Units.
  • You support the global public affairs team in their outreach to the EU and other relevant global institutions such as the WHO and the OECD.
  • You will develop cutting edge approaches to give further impact and visibility to AB InBev’s public affairs strategy, and to establish clear thought-leadership among the beer and wider alcohol beverage industry.
  • You will participate in a range of EU industry and trade association bodies like the Brewers of Europe, AIM and FoodDrinkEurope to further AB InBev’s objectives.
  • You will be strategic adviser to Europe Zone and business unit management and provide ad-hoc support across the business when issues and crises relating to AB InBev’s brands and corporate reputation arise.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Min 5 years’ experience in the field of Politics, Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability
  • Significant experience with the EU and other stakeholders at international and/or European level, strong external network
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Law, Political Sciences, History, Economics, or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of the workings of the EU political system and process and well networked within Brussels and key EU institutions
  • Strong analytical skills and rigor – able to support analysis and recommendations with robust data
  • Strategic thinker with hands on experience of developing corporate affairs strategies to support the delivery of business strategy
  • Excellent communicator, who loves being at the frontline of the business
  • Strong knowledge of English language, other European languages preferred
