This role is eligible for hybrid – this means you’ll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (in Regina), on a scheduled rotation once training requirements have been met. Until then, the successful incumbent will be expected to work on-site, full-time.
Pay Range: $88,349 - $117,791
General Accountability
The Corporate Auto Fund Specialist works collaboratively with management on strategies to provide exceptional value in Auto Fund products and services, and traffic safety leadership. Responsible for conducting research and analysis on a range of issues for the Auto Fund Division (excluding Claims). Develops actionable insights and recommendations, and designs solutions that continuously improve the experience for customers, employees and partners through collaboration and innovative thinking.
Key Accountabilities

AF Product and Services Analysis

  • Analyzes information to support industry leading Auto Fund products and services, including continuous improvement of standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs root cause analysis of business problems and provides recommendations on potential solutions, identifying associated risks and implications.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to identify new patterns and provide recommendations for product or service changes.
  • Collaborates with impacted departments on product changes and policy development to ensure consistency across the division.
  • Collaborates with other dept/divisions to update guidelines and resources (i.e. websites, issuer manuals, etc.) when changes are made.
  • Drafts communication and change management plans when standards, procedures and processes are changed.
  • Identifies impacts and changes required to Auto Fund legislation, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Conducts research, compiles, and analyzes cross-jurisdictional and industry information to monitor and anticipate trends and developments impacting programs and services throughout the Auto Fund; includes creating surveys for other jurisdictions and stakeholders.
  • Develops reports or presentations on findings and recommendations for stakeholders and/or management.
  • Drafts responses to requests for information from the Minister’s office, other jurisdictions, and organizations such as AAMVA, CCMTA, etc.

Auto Fund Monitoring & Reporting

  • Analyzes Auto fund data (procedures, customer and stakeholder feedback, transactions, and performance) to evaluate the outcomes of current standards and recommend areas for optimization and automation. Collaborates with Corporate Analytics to gather the appropriate data.
  • Develops and maintains frameworks for measuring and monitoring Auto Fund service standards and process effectiveness.
  • Performs analysis of customer, partner, and financial information to support management in prioritization of initiatives, process refinements and reviews of standards and documentation.
  • Conducts analysis of business results to identify insights and recommend key performance indicators.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to obtain and provide reporting and analysis on partner and employee performance, in accordance with defined procedures and guiding principles, to identify improvements aligned with customer needs.
  • Assists with financial tasks for the Auto Fund including monthly accruals, quarterly variance reporting, budget reporting, and ad hoc requests.

Collaboration and Relationship Management

  • Maintains relationships and collaborates with management in Corporate Auto Fund, Auto Fund Operations and Traffic Safety, as well as Corporate Claims, Claims Operations, and other areas of SGI.
  • Consults with external agencies and other stakeholders to assess impacts of proposed product or service changes, including public consultations.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with external stakeholders and industry partners.

Education and Experience

  • A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as: Business or Mathematics & Applied Sciences.
  • Five years’ experience in a business analytical role (i.e. performing analysis of business problems/data to identify solutions/trends).

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings.
  • Experience developing reports and presentations to represent information from analysis.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve or propose solutions or new approaches to business problems or needs.
  • Ability to understand business imperatives and drivers, find relevant data correlations and recommend changes that help drive the business.
  • Skill in conducting root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of how business procedures and internal controls interact to support corporate operations.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to connect and build business relationships.
