Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join Wells Fargo’s CIB Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The Associate will join and grow one of the industry’s leading Financial Institutions practices, which covers insurance, asset managers, market structure, and specialty finance companies.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions
  • Work with more senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic and consistent business development and client retention
  • Responsible for developing presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions; may take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call; sees items through to resolution to support broader deal team/organization. May direct junior members of team to help with client meeting material preparation
  • Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
  • Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
  • Represent the bank in a primary capacity in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller or less complex clients
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients

Job Expectations:

  • FINRA Series 63, 79, and the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Additional Compensation Details:

  • Base Salary - $125,000 - $135,000 USD
