Description:
Our Calgary office is currently looking for a Corporate Clerk to join our team and work with our growing corporate client base. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a recognized legal assistant or paralegal course (equivalencies will be considered).

Responsibilities
Preparing annual maintenance packages for Alberta, Federal and Extra-Provincial entities.
Preparing various change documents such as Notices of Change of Address, Notices of Change of Head Office Address, Notices of Change of Agent for Service, Notices of Change of Directors, Annual Returns, Declarations of Trade Names, and Declaration of Partnerships.
Attending to CORES Level I and II filings with the Alberta Corporate Registry.
Attending to online filings with the Corporations Canada.
Conducting Corporate Searches and obtaining Certificates of Status.
Maintaining the integrity of our corporate database, virtual minute books and file records.
Handling requests for corporate documents, including sending minute books and corporate seals.
Preparing and filing NWPTA documents online.
Preparing correspondence and/or reporting to clients/agents, as required.
Preparing monthly invoicing related to annual maintenance packages.
Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a corporate clerk/paralegal role.
CORES level 1 is required, CORES level 2 would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of corporate law and basic accounting principles required.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of the team, strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
