Job Description
We are looking for a corporate communications professional to play a pivotal role in our Marketing, PR and Communications team.
This role can be based in our Milton Keynes or London office.
The ideal candidate will possess internal communications experience in a complex organisation, crisis communications and issues management experience, and press handling. The role requires flexibility and the ability to write across multiple channels.
Duties include:
- Supporting our internal communications, external B2B comms and the Press Office.
- Craft Engaging Copy: Write clear, informative and engaging copy for various channels, including press releases, internal communications newsletters and articles, Group website articles, and B2B social media posts.
- Tailor Messaging: Adapt your writing style to connect with different target audiences, from estate agents, mortgage brokers and letting agents to regional journalists.
- Proofread and Polish: A good attention to detail – you’ll ensure the content created is factually correct and of value to the audience.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and impeccable grammar in all written materials.
- SEO Optimization: Apply SEO principles to maximise the reach and impact of your copy.
- Explore future efficiencies, through engagement and use of AI platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships internally across the business as well as with journalists.
- Support the PR Manager in pitching interesting and attractive properties to the regional and national press.
- Stakeholder management: balancing competing deadlines and projects across the multiple divisions within Connells Group and liaising with internal stakeholders to deliver requested communications projects.
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in communications.
- Copywriting Skills: Proven ability to create high-quality, engaging content.
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English.
- Research and Analytical Skills: Dig deep to uncover compelling stories.
- Creativity: Bring fresh ideas and a unique perspective.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulously proofread and edit your work.
- Effective Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with team members.
- Proven experience in issues management.
