Description:
We have an exciting position of Corporate Controller. :The Controller will be an experienced accounting leader, strong communicator, provide leadership and drive process improvements.
This position will report to the CFO. A high performing candidate will have significant growth potential within the broader corporate organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of monthly corporate financial statements and reporting package

- Preparation of monthly operating financial reporting package including variance analysis, KPI’s and MD&A for review with operations management team

- Manage year end processes and reporting. Coordination with external accounting firm for year end review engagements and tax filings

- Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis supporting the greater group of companies as required

- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, ensuring clear accountabilities and deliverables for team members

- Oversight of payroll function for the company. Support CFO with group wide payroll oversight and initiatives as required

- Oversight of office administration

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Pro-actively develop, document and improve business processes to create efficiencies and strengthen internal controls

- Lead future ERP conversion and implementation working as part of cross functional team

- Support the CFO with merger and acquisition activities

- Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

- Additional financial management duties as necessary

Education and Experience:

- Professional accounting designation required (CPA)

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

- Public practice experience is considered an asset

- 5+ years of post-designation experience in a senior finance role

- Experience in a multi company environment; significant intercompany transactions

- Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate tax principles

- Advanced Microsoft Office
