ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • ACA, ACCA or CF qualified
  • previous corporate finance experience including knowledge of undertaking valuations and Due Diligence would be ideal
  • strong report writing skills
  • strong IT skills, particularly Excel
  • strong research skills, ability to utilise database resources and the internet as a source of information gathering
  • excellent presentation skills
  • strong analytical skills and ability to deal with complex information
  • familiarity with financial statements and the ability to perform financial analysis is a strong advantage

BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

We have a really exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Manager to be part of a well-respected, ambitious, award-winning team in our Lewes office.
Working alongside and providing support to our Corporate Finance Partner and our Business Advisory Director, this is an opportunity to further your knowledge and experience in this exciting field with plenty of scope for technical development and a defined career path.
Working with a variety of small to medium sized owner-managed businesses, you will be involved in supporting our clients with business acquisitions, business disposals, valuations, due diligence, raising finance and strategic reviews.
A solid foundation of accounting knowledge would be a distinct advantage so the successful candidate will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CF qualified. Previous corporate finance experience including knowledge of undertaking valuations and Due Diligence would be ideal. This role would also suit an Auditor looking for a change of direction to broaden their advisory skills.
Alongside experience, we look for professional, ambitious, forward-thinking individuals. You must be comfortable working off your own initiative and be quick to pick up new tasks, methodologies and deal with complex information. You must also have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build long lasting successful client and network relationships. IT, presentation & report writing, and project management skills are also essential.

Key responsibilities of a Corporate Finance Manager will include:

  • work alongside the Partners and Director in lead advisory engagements (buy-side and sell-side)
  • playing a key role in deal executions
  • undertaking business, company and shareholder valuations
  • undertaking financial due diligence assignments
  • conducting research for transactions, writing reports
  • preparation of Information Memorandums, business plans, report writing etc
  • preparation of cash flow and financial forecasts for a range of clients and scenarios
  • assist Partners and Director in advising clients through the raising of finance
  • supporting the Company Secretarial assistant in the preparation of statutory paperwork for transactions
  • undertaking client management and business development tasks
  • actively assisting in the promotion of the firms networking activities
  • building & maintaining good relationships with clients
  • any other duties commensurate with this level of post
