gener8tor runs accelerators and venture capital funds to catalyze community, mentorship, network, conviction and capital to bridge a community’s genius with opportunity. The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships. gener8tor operates venture capital funds and startup accelerators across 45 cities, 25 states and 3 countries, working with more than 300 startups per year. To date, gener8tor has worked with more than 1,500 startups that have cumulatively gone on to raise more than $2B in follow-on capital and employ more than 11,000 people.
gener8tor’s Corporate Innovation Department plays a critical role in the company’s 10-year vision by creating relationships with corporate innovators and corporate venture capitalists that provide our portfolio companies direct access to potential customers, investors and acquirers, while enabling corporate partners to access cutting-edge technology to move their internal innovation priorities forward. It is also a primary outlet for finding leaders who identify with our cause - that communities succeed best when they invest in their best and brightest.
gener8tor is seeking an Operations Manager to support the activities of this department, including Corporate Innovation Network events, and gener8tor’s annual conference series.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience running in-person events.
- Great attention to detail and organization skills.
- Familiarity with Airtable and Hubspot preferred, but not required.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
- Collaborative, team-based mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and external relationships.
- Flexibility to travel up to 25%, work some nights and weekends as required for events such as “Executives on a Plane”, CIN Summits and gener8tor Conferences.

Responsibilities:
- Secure estimates, negotiate contracts and serve as the primary point of contact for event service providers for conferences and Executives on a Plane trips. Work with convention and visitors bureaus to identify venues and maximize incentives. Service providers and key responsibilities include:
- Event venues:
- Caterers
- A/V companies
- Hotel room blocks (maintain room list, ensure room block is filled)
- Photographers (provide shot list, ensure photographers have
- Printers (order nametags, banners, swag)
- Maintain master checklist and support regional VPs and CIN captains in coordinating logistics for local CIN roundtables.
- Maintain master calendar and KPI dashboard for corporate team.
- Maintain source-of-truth agendas for all conferences and CIN events.
- Maintain source-of-truth attendee lists for all conference and CIN events.
- Serve as Airtable expert-in-residence for Corporate Innovation team. Liaise with other operations managers as-needed.
- Attend Executives on a Plane trips, CIN Summit, gener8tor Conferences.
