Description:

1. FINANCE & ACCOUNTING EXPERTISE:

  • Budgeting & Financial Planning: The candidate will support strategic financial planning and ensure proper resource allocation for projects, campaigns, and overall media operations. Their expertise will be vital in understanding financial reports, optimizing budgets, and forecasting future revenues and costs.
  • Financial Reporting: They will prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Saudi GAAP or IFRS standards (depending on the company’s accounting framework). This could involve collaborating with accountants to generate income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Cost Control & Profitability: Their knowledge of accounting principles can help identify inefficiencies in corporate operations and media production costs, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality.
  • Tax & Zakat Compliance: With their finance background, the candidate can assist in tax and zakat reporting, ensuring the company complies with Saudi Arabia’s tax regulations, including VAT and Zakat.

2. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE:

  • Contract Negotiation and Review: Their understanding of contracts will allow them to review terms and conditions effectively, ensuring that business agreements—whether with media partners, advertisers, vendors, or clients—are structured to the company’s advantage.
  • Risk Management: They will identify potential risks in contracts and suggest mitigating measures, especially in the context of media partnerships and licensing agreements.
  • Compliance: The candidate will ensure that all contracts comply with local regulations and industry standards (such as broadcasting laws, media licensing, etc.).

3. BASIC HR KNOWLEDGE:

  • Payroll & Compensation: With their finance background, the candidate could assist the HR team with payroll management, ensuring that employee compensation is processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Resource Planning: Understanding HR processes will help them align workforce planning with the financial goals of the company, ensuring that human resources are allocated appropriately for key projects.
  • Employee Benefits & Compliance: While not an HR expert, the candidate’s knowledge of finance would help with managing employee benefits, budgeting for HR-related expenses, and ensuring compliance with Saudi labor laws and regulations.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Any relevant professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA will be an advantage.

2. EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a corporate management or financial management role, preferably within the media or entertainment sector.
  • Proven experience in finance and accounting management, with a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience in contract management, including reviewing, negotiating, and managing business agreements and partnerships (e.g., with advertisers, media partners, vendors, and clients).
  • Basic HR knowledge or experience in managing HR-related financial matters (e.g., payroll, compensation, benefits, and budget planning).
  • Exposure to Saudi media regulations and industry standards is highly desirable (e.g., broadcasting regulations, media licensing, and government policies related to media).

3. TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle), particularly in the finance/accounting modules.
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced) for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) is a plus for handling multiple corporate initiatives.
  • Familiarity with media production software or media management systems is an advantage.

4. KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRY & REGULATIONS:

  • In-depth understanding of the media industry, including traditional media (TV, radio) and digital media (social media, online streaming platforms).
  • Familiarity with Saudi media regulations and compliance requirements, such as those enforced by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority and General Commission for Audiovisual Media.
  • Awareness of advertising standards, broadcasting licenses, and local content regulations in Saudi Arabia.

5. SKILLS:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Ability to analyze financial statements and data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and develop financial forecasts.
  • Contract Negotiation & Legal Understanding: Strong ability to review and negotiate business contracts, with an eye for detail and risk management.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in Arabic and English (written and spoken). Ability to present financial and strategic information clearly to senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex business and financial problems.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing media environment.
