Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a temporary Corporate Paralegal to join our Group Legal department for the next 12 months as one of our valued colleagues prepares for parental leave. Reporting directly to the General Counsel (GC) you will collaborate closely with colleagues across B2 Impact, contributing to key legal projects and helping us in achieving our strategic goals.
The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, responsive in a fast-paced environment, and able to juggle competing priorities. A proactive person with a keen sense of judgment, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor would excel in this role.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALITIES WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Relevant prior experience with legal-administrative work (will be emphasized)
  • Higher education. Preferably a background in law or a practice-oriented degree such as legal secretary (advokatsekretær) or legal assistant (advokatassistent).
  • Good IT understanding and knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Accurate and quality conscious
  • Structured and able to handle several tasks at once
  • Enjoys working independently

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will, amongst other things, contribute to:

  • Assist General Counsel in its daily work by preparing corporate and legal documents, board documents and minutes, etc.
  • Follow-up and assist in KYC proceedings, preparation of regulatory forms, collecting corporate documents, public registry filings documents, collect notarization and apostilles, etc.
  • Proofreading and translations
  • Assist in review of frequently incoming contracts such as NDA’s, intra-group agreements, etc.
  • Document management and archiving
  • General administrative work

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will also participate in Board and Audit Committee meetings, assist in preparing general assemblies, stock exchange related obligations or communication, and support the Group in regulatory implementation and in various other projects. You will be able to learn a lot by being exposed within several different areas of corporate legal.
