Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a dynamic Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team. Employed by Eavor whose head office is located in Calgary, Alberta, and working with a multidisciplinary international team, you will act as a business partner to provide leadership and innovation to support the team’s construction of the world’s first closed-loop geothermal system. The successful Corporate Paralegal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented and independent problem solver who is always looking for a solution. The Corporate Paralegal will play a critical role in a growing and busy legal team. Collaborating with various departments, the Corporate Paralegal will support the legal team, including Eavor’s contracts management function.
This hybrid role is based in Calgary, Alberta, but could require limited travel based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Paralegal/legal assistant certificate or diploma from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in an in-house legal department, or alternatively with a law firm.
  • Prior corporate governance and subsidiary management experience.
  • Contracts administration experience an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume working environment.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management and maintenance of corporate records and support of corporate governance initiatives for Eavor and its subsidiaries, in conjunction with Eavor’s Corporate Secretary.
  • Review, assist with drafting of, and preparation of contracts for execution, including confidentiality agreements, service agreements, procurement agreements, technology agreements, and various other agreements.
  • Administration of contracts management for Eavor.
  • Support for due diligence initiatives.
  • Perform legal research as needed.
  • General administrative/assistant support for the legal team.
  • Special projects and other assignments as needed.
