Overview:

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will assist the Legal Department with wide-ranging operations in support of the Company’s business. This position will interact with various Company employees and departments in a collegial and team oriented environment that strives toward meeting and exceeding the Legal Department’s goals and objectives.
In this role you will be focused primarily on legal support functions such as contract administration and review, various aspects of legal compliance, data privacy and assist with contract negotiations and client support when needed. You will also be charged with assisting in the adherence, further development and evolution of the Company’s policies and procedures and help to ensure the Company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department, law firm or other similar environment, preferably with increasing responsibility over that time;
- Proficient in the use of technology platforms in the administration of contracting and other legal documents; and
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience reviewing commercial contracts within corporate legal setting;
- Project management or other similar experience managing strategic initiatives;
- Background in areas of contract administration and privacy compliance; and
- Paralegal Certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with legal team members to support internal clients as needed;
- Provide support to review, process and assist in negotiating redlines to agreements, prepare addendums, and correspond with internal and external parties to finalize and execute contracts;
- Assist in the development, training, and maintenance of the Company’s Contract Lifecycle Management Platform, including managing legal databases and records
- Support members of the legal team with legal compliance, public reporting, and special projects and initiatives;
- Perform various legal research functions as required;
- Develop and maintain an understanding of federal, state and local laws, and government regulations that pertain to the Company’s areas of business;
- Collaborate with departments to manage internal compliance efforts and processes to align with state and federal laws;
- Support the development and rollout of training materials and other content designed to enhance awareness and comprehension of legal topics; and
- Assist in building and driving a culture of compliance and efficiency throughout the Company and develop strong cross-functional relationships to assess current and anticipated emerging risk areas across the Company
