Description:

Womens Care, founded in 1998, is a leading womens healthcare group in the United States, dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for women through their reproductive years and beyond. With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Womens Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.

The Paralegal will assist the attorney by providing drafting, research support and clerical services, including document preparation and review and other assigned projects.

  • Works with the SVP, General Counsel on assigned projects, including drafting HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, corporate resolutions, routine amendments to provider employment agreements, notices of termination for vendor contracts.
  • Provides overview of the key legal terms in vendor contracts and hospital contracts.
  • Updates and maintains electronic contracting database.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Womens Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; bachelors degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a legal department of a healthcare company is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
