Our team is inspired to create and deliver extraordinary experiences for the people who visit and use the Park and Zoo including building friendly, supportive, effective relationships with stakeholders, community and the general public.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales and sponsorship within non-profits, entertainment, tourism and/or hospitality.
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ of proven sales and sponsorship experience demonstrating revenue generation with a record of accomplishment in achieving corporate-sales targets, effective market development, and experience in selling events and catering.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate, handle rejections and close sales.
- An undergraduate degree in business, sales and marketing or event management.
- Must possess a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Excellent proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in using EventPro and Raiser’s Edge would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities:
The Corporate Partnerships & Sales Specialist oversees the sales function within Assiniboine Park Conservancy, driving corporate sales strategy and execution. Responsibilities include setting revenue targets, establishing measurements, reporting on performance, and building strong client relationships.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Marketing and Visitor Analytics, this position will collaborate closely with multiple departments across the organization, especially Resource Development, to foster strong working relationships. These partnerships will enhance APC’s corporate sales processes and service delivery, ensuring Park guests enjoy outstanding customer experiences.
This position will focus on leading and implementing APC’s organization-wide strategic sponsorship sales and stewardship plan, with a focus on identifying and securing sponsorship opportunities. The Corporate Partnerships & Sales Specialist will also manage travel, tourism and attraction partnerships that offer sales potential for APC, including banquet event sales. A flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend, is required to coordinate and execute events effectively.
