In order to achieve this state of success, this position has the responsibility for performing duties within the human resources department including recruiting, staffing, connecting with potential candidates online and offline and screening applications and supporting hiring managers according to established policies and procedures.
Nature and Scope
This position is responsible for the recruitment and staffing needs of Allegacy Federal Credit Union and its subsidiaries. This individual will continually develop and maintain the Applicant Tracking System, proactively build talent pipelines, ensure time to fill goals are met while also ensuring a quality of hire.
Specific Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high quality service to both internal and external member that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
- Meet or exceed established service goals
- Ensure thorough understanding of expectations and consistently exhibit Allegacy behaviors.
- Source, select and hire qualified candidates to fill vacant exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Recruit external candidates by utilizing referrals, internal database, networking, researching job boards and social media sites, and ad placements.
- Manage applicant flow to ensure availability of qualified candidates and compliance with diversity hiring goals.
- Write job postings to post and advertise open positions.
- Schedule and conduct phone interviews, in person and virtual interviews, and skills assessments of candidates for hire.
- Provide feedback to hiring managers regarding placement potential and eligibility of talent/candidates in the marketplace.
- Create a remarkable internal and external candidate experience that provides timely communication, ongoing status updates, and fair and consistent feedback for candidates that match our Brand Culture.
- Work closely with Manager, Talent Acquisition regarding open positions, prospective candidates and internal movement within departments
- Conduct background screens on candidates for hire and follow up on any additional information necessary to complete background check.
- Stay knowledgeable of the entire hiring process and ensure compliance of hiring guidelines, internal reference requirements, level of applicant education and/or experience requirements, and internal evaluations.
- Participate in college and community job fairs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- This position requires a strong Human Resources background in recruiting and staffing. Individual must be flexible, able to manage multiple priorities of assignments, meet deadlines, work independently and in teams, take initiative, and provide professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrate the ability to build high levels of trust across the organization through the consistent professional presentation and outstanding performance.
- Proficient in office technology (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Skype, ZOOM etc.)
- Actively engage in team meetings and organizational meetings
Education and Experience
- Education: Associate Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration areas or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of responsibility within the recruiting area of Human Resources.
- Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, and Twitter.
