Description:

BDO Ireland is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Trainee to join our Corporate Secretarial department. You will be part of a dynamic team assisting in managing a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients across various industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure compliance with the Companies Act 2014 and other governance requirements. The role involves coordinating, attending, and taking minutes at board and committee meetings, ensuring accurate records and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act 2014 and other governance requirements.
  • Co-ordinate, attend, and minute board/committee meetings.
  • Maintain statutory books and records, and monitor filing deadlines.
  • Arrange document execution, notarisations, apostilling, and filing with registries.
  • Assist with client onboarding and governance queries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions for clients.
  • Support clients from incorporation to winding down.
  • Contribute to specialised projects requiring independent secretarial services.
  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Third-level qualification in business, law, or similar discipline (ICSA part qualified is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent tech skills.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed.
  • Experience working in an administrative role is a plus.
