Description:
Securitas Security Services are currently recruiting Security Officers to be based in Leopardstown, Dublin. Rate of pay for this position is €16.11 per hour plus night allowances and Sunday premium.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. Expertise in emergency response, crisis management, or security operations is highly desirable.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to perform the essential duties of the job, including standing, walking, and responding swiftly to emergencies. CPR and first aid certification may be required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. The ability to remain calm and articulate during stressful situations is crucial.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and analytically are necessary to assess security threats, make sound judgments, and implement effective response strategies.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic security environment.
- Integrity: Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all aspects of security operations. Must adhere to confidentiality requirements and maintain the trust and confidence of stakeholders
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities:
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, including but not limited to breaches, disturbances, medical situations, and fire alarms. Take decisive action to contain and resolve the problem while minimising risk to personnel and property.
Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and assess potential security threats or breaches. Maintain constant vigilance and promptly investigate any suspicious activity or unauthorised access.
- Patrol and Inspection: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity, enforce security policies, and ensure the integrity of physical barriers and access points. Perform thorough inspections to identify vulnerabilities and address potential security risks.
- Access Control: Control access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorised individuals are permitted entry. Verify identification credentials, issue access badges to new starters and temporary badges for existing employees, verify approvals, issue keys upon request, and enforce any other access protocols in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Reporting: Document all security incidents, observations, and actions in detailed and accurate reports. Provide timely and comprehensive written accounts to aid in investigations, compliance efforts, and risk assessment,
- Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and relevant stakeholders to address safety & security concerns, share information, and implement coordinated responses to incidents.
- Training and Education: Stay informed about security best practices, emerging threats, and relevant regulations. Participate in training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills in security procedures, crisis management, and emergency response techniques.
- Parking management: Ensure compliance by overseeing all parking activities, issuing and checking parking permits, managing visitor parking, and guiding and instructing vendors to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
- Admin tasks: Monitor security email box & respond to queries, manage lost property including safe storage and log keeping, provide occasional security support during company events, and provide escort upon request.
- Other: Conduct thorough screening of incoming mail and packages using X-ray machines and other specialized equipment to ensure safety and security within the organization. Your site Security Supervisor or equivalent may assign you additional tasks to ensure the smooth operation and security of the facility, which you will be expected to support with.
