About the team
The Corporate Service Internal Communication team forms part of the group Corporate Service department and offers both departmental and team-level support to help achieve the best communication outcomes. We provide functional support at the department level and have regional teams covering all markets (incl. Mainland China, APAC, EMEA and AMS)
This team develops comprehensive internal communication strategies and tools to update employees about corporate services strategy, plans and initiatives. It works closely with all corporate service functions in associated verbal and written communication content and in employee sentiment and feedback management. The team also helps facilitate cross-functional collaborations and develops training to continuously enhance communication effectiveness and efficiency.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Internal Communications expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and executing internal communication strategies that align with company and Corporate Services team‘s objectives. This role aims to support Corporate Services teams in effectively conveying management concepts and related services, deepening trust, and facilitating the implementation of relevant policies and projects across ByteDance globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal communication strategies to ensure employees are well-informed of key corporate services updates, initiatives, and news.
  • Build effective tools, templates, and SOPs, and provide necessary training to help improve the quality and efficiency of internal communication within the CS team.
  • Create engaging content for various internal communication channels, including region&office group announcements, open letters, intranet updates, and internal social platforms etc.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Co-develop post-incident and crisis communication management plan and content with CS teams to mitigate risks and perform damage control.
  • Plan and manage internal events such as town hall meetings, leadership updates, and employee engagement activities.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and recommend improvements based on feedback and data.
  • Serve as the go-to person for employee queries related to communication tools and processes.
  • Support the leadership team in delivering clear, concise, and transparent communications that enhance the company culture and improve employee morale.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Exceptional English writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and concise content.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work effectively across departments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in corporate internal communications or a similar role.
  • Experience in change management or organizational communication.
  • Experience with digital communication platforms (intranet, email marketing tools, internal social networks).
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to connect with employees at all levels.
