Description:

A. JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Services Manager reports directly to the Head, Operations & Corporate Services and will lead / or support the following corporate functions:
1. Board Secretariat, including administrative interaction with and providing support to Board Directors, EXCO, and the various Board sub-committees.
2. Governance & Risk Management – support Senior Management in ensuring that regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements are duly adhered to, and oversee the management and updating of policies and procedures in consultation with Senior Management.
3. Audits – support all internal and external audits.
4. Grant applications & management of reports to relevant regulatory and /or funding agencies.
In addition, he/she may support strategic projects, key company events or any additional tasking assigned by the Head, Operations & Corporate Services, and/or the CEO.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in management of governance and non-profit regulatory work, and with proven experience in management of Board Secretariat matters.
  3. Strong cognitive ability – fast learner, able to capture & process information accurately, and resourceful in gathering required information.
  4. Good eye for detail, and strong command of the English Language.
  5. Good relationship management and people skills.
  6. Effective planning and communication skills, with both internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Adept at navigating and adapting to changes, and ability to “pull things together”.
  8. Good sense of operations, able to help resolve problems or escalate to senior management where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  1. Anchor Board Secretariat duties, including arranging & coordination of meetings for Board, EXCO and sub-committees, and Minutes recording & dissemination.
  2. Support the Head, Operations & Corporate Services, and relevant Programme Heads to compile or develop proposals for submissions to funding organisations, government agencies, or other charitable agencies and related organisations.
  3. Support the preparation of service delivery reports and KPI targets in consultation with relevant Programme Heads, and anchor the internal coordination to ensure timely submission of reports or information.
  4. Support compliance related matters for Human Resources, Internal Audits, Risk Management, and general regulatory governance and compliance for charities.
  5. Support Human Resource with the planning and organisation of staff events and activities.
  6. Assist in providing administrative support to other colleagues and teams as required.
