Description
The Bank’s entire operations are managed by COO Division and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. It strives to provide both in-house and external clients with a first-rate service to ensure our business operates efficiently and at the best possible cost. The COO division comprises Operations, Finance, Information Management, Human Resources and Logistics. COO employees are committed to providing, with professionalism and enthusiasm, an efficient, proactive, high-quality service that meets the needs of clients within the context of the Bank’s overall strategy. Union Bancaire Privée, UBP SA is looking for a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager based in Zurich, who will collaborate in the further development of the CSR strategy and its implementation across the Bank, including its international locations.
Mission
In collaboration with the Head of CSR and the Head of Sustainability, establish the UBP’s sustainability agenda compliant to the upcoming sustainability regulations; contribute with new ideas and work jointly with colleagues across the bank.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of CSR and other business units in preparing for upcoming sustainability regulations. Contribute with new ideas and work jointly with business units and sites on their implementation
  • Collaborate on the annual carbon footprint assessment and compensation and on the definition of a net-zero path for the Bank
  • Collaborate on the external audit of the Group’s sustainability KPIs, drive improvements
  • Work together with Group Communications on the annual Sustainability Report and TCFD report, as well as other reporting requirements
  • Perform regular review of non-financial regulations, propose actions
  • Manage projects on CSR topics, e.g., paper and waste reduction, diversity, community engagement, and carbon actions, etc.
  • Manage interface with the Group sites, act as contact point for CSR targets and actions, with focus on environmental goal
  • Actively participate in the local CSR team in Zurich, contribute with new idea
  • Provide regular benchmark of the financial sector’s sustainability initiative
  • Act as a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSRCO) and prepare material together with the Head of CSR

Education

  • Education: Bachelor Degree
  • Certification: University degree in a related fieldTechnical skills: Strong Excel skills and MS tools

Experience

  • Years of experience: 3-7 : intermediate
  • Experience required:
  • Successfully completed further education studies, ideally with focus on environment
  • 3-7 year’s experience in a CSR role, preferably in financial service firms
  • Knowledge on net-zero is an assetExperience in private banking: Optional
