Description:
BDO Ireland are looking for a highly skilled Tax Professional (AITI or CTA) with at least 5 years of relevant experience to manage complex corporate tax matters, including reorganizations, company transactions, and compliance.
The role involves engaging directly with executives, addressing issues like transfer pricing and R&D, and supporting Revenue audits. You will advise on international tax issues, develop internal relationships, and research technical tax matters for partners.
Strong project management, communication skills, and experience in managing a large client portfolio are essential. Big 4 experience and the ability to mentor junior staff are advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging directly with employers and executives in relation to complex corporate tax related matters, including reorganisation, purchase and sale of companies, funding, corporate tax compliance management, dividend policy management, interest deductibility and all other matters corporate related.
- Identifying issues such as transfer pricing, KDB, R&D and liaising with BDO specialists groups in these areas to ensure clients needs are met.
- Provision of support with Revenue audits, to include pre-audit reviews and negotiating with Revenue
- Advising on residency and taxation issues with regard to foreign operations
- Developing pro-active relationships with other departments within the firm
- Researching technical tax issues for the partners
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified tax professional - AITI or CTA
- Good technical skills and knowledge of corporate taxes;
- At least 5 years of relevant tax experience; Big 4 experience would be positive;
- Ability to delegate to, manage and review trainee/senior work on allocated clients;
- Experience of dealing with Revenue audits would be advantageous;
- Excellent project management skills;
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to participates fully in new client pitch situations.
- Highly technical and experienced in managing a large portfolio of clients
- Motivated and capable of working independently
- Strong academics with all first-time passes in professional exams
