As the Corporate Treasurer here at Sporty Group you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations, including cash management, risk management, investment strategies, and financial planning. This role is critical in ensuring the company’s financial stability, supporting growth initiatives, and managing risks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Professional certification such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar is preferred
+10 years’ relevant experience
Strong knowledge of cash management, financial risk management, and investment strategies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Proven experience in managing banking relationships and negotiating financial agreements
Strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong ethical standards and integrity in managing sensitive financial information
Responsibilities:
Oversee the company’s cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs
Develop and implement cash management strategies, including cash forecasting, to maintain adequate financial levels
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and liquidity risks
Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to protect the company’s assets and financial position
Manage the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the company’s risk tolerance and financial objectives
Analyze and recommend investment opportunities that align with the company’s growth strategy and risk profile
Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners as well as negotiate favourable terms for banking services, loans, and other financial products
Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on the financial strategy
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirementsImplement and manage treasury management systems (TMS) to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of treasury operations
Ensure the integration of treasury systems with other financial systems to streamline operations
