POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Warranty Specialist is responsible for administering daily activities associated with Liftow’s Warranty Program. This position is responsible for streamlining the warranty process and maximizing recovery of warranty reimbursements within vendor policies.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Review and evaluate all Toyota warranty repair orders, collect and archive supporting documents and photos for all Toyota warranty claims on behalf of all Liftow branches.
  • Correspond with branches requesting additional support documentation as needed.
  • Submit warranty claims to Toyota, monitor claim status, respond to returned claims, and forward approved claim to branch and accounting for credit reconciliation.
  • Enter and maintain claim activity to Liftow’s internal claim record database.
  • Monitor warranty work in progress database, report concerns to branch management.
  • Monitor closed warranty orders to capture orders closed in error.
  • Monitor debited warranty claimed and submit formal claim appeals as needed.
  • Maintain warranty claim records and store per terms of warranty policy.
  • Learns and stays current on all vendor warranty Policies & Procedures
  • Receives warranty parts from all branches and records receipt of part.
  • Maintain warranty parts return report flagging requested parts for return.
  • Prepare requested parts and return documentation for shipment.
  • Submit warranty return freight claims.
  • Receive and download all warranty campaign notifications from Toyota.
  • Create campaign record database for each campaign.
  • Prepare and forward campaign truck lists and work instructions to all branches and Senior Management.
  • Maintain campaign database monitoring activities and informing branches of any changes to original truck list.
  • Maintain agreement database and distribute reports to branches and senior management monthly.
  • Notify branches of new agreements, and fleet coordination to create PM agreement, and update equipment object card with new or expired plan information.
  • Provide warranty support information to technicians and branches as requested.
  • Provide support and assistance to Director or Service and Rentals
  • Create content for warranty training modules and materials for all audiences.
  • Provide warranty training to service technicians, service admin, parts admin, branch/service managers and sales staff either in person or virtually.
  • Create Did-You-Know bulletins to communicate technical issues or policy changes.
  • Create and submit technical reports to Toyota Technical Services to report quality, safety, design issues or request repair instruction on structural components.
  • Act as a liaison between individual branches, service technicians and Toyota.
  • Alternate Toyota and advisory council member.
  • Participate in monthly meetings in person or virtually.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Work Experience
Completion of high school graduation diploma, coupled with some specialized courses in a technical field or equivalent, plus 3 - 5 years’ previous related work experience. Previous technical work experience is an asset.
