DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies for SCI Houtzdale. Your responsibilities include inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will have the opportunity to train and monitor inmate workers in the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies. Work includes preparing routine reports and operating motor vehicles, fork lifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
