THE POSITION

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, receiving, and distributing inventory for a variety of stock items and supplies within the warehouse and commissary area at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mercer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee inventory management, including receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will train and supervise inmate workers in tasks related to the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of various stock items and supplies. Additionally, you will prepare regular reports and operate motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move large or heavy items, remove scrap materials, and make deliveries as needed.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
