Cost Accountant

We are in search of a Cost Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team located in Ontario, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling cost accounting functions within the manufacturing industry. You will be tasked with various responsibilities such as revenue recognition, maintaining ERP systems, and managing general ledger operations.

• Accurately process and maintain cost accounting data
• Recognize and record revenue in accordance with standard accounting practices
• Utilize ERP systems to streamline and enhance accounting functions
• Maintain and manage general ledger for accurate financial records
• Implement your expertise in accounting software systems such as Epicor for efficient work processes
• Carry out auditing tasks to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial data
• Participate in budget processes to aid in financial planning and forecasting
• Utilize your understanding of accounting functions to optimize financial operations
• Employ your skills in manufacturing cost accounting to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a Cost Accounting role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with Epicor software is highly desirable.
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Auditing is required.
• Must be well-versed in Budget Processes.
• Deep knowledge of Cost Accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
