Description:
We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team, located in Reading, Ohio. This role will focus on various aspects of cost accounting within the manufacturing industry. You will be integral in the implementation of SAP S4 Hana and will be working on-site, providing materials management and data validation/testing. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the implementation of SAP S4 Hana system
- Conducting cost analysis and data analysis to support financial decisions
- Managing materials and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Validating data pre-go live to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting procedures and records
- Using Excel to manage data and ideally creating macros
- Liaising with project lead and site controller to ensure alignment of activities
- Monitoring and managing customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to streamline operations
- Proficiency in Cost Analysis and Cost Accounting
- Expertise in Variance Analysis
- Ability to perform Data Validation
- Familiarity with Monthly Close and Monthly Close Processes
- Knowledge of Purchase Price Variance
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of financial regulations and legislation
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
