Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry located in CINCINNATI, Ohio. As a Cost Accountant, your primary role will involve analyzing and implementing cost accounting procedures, preparing financial reports, and managing cost databases. You will also be responsible for handling internal audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Analyze and implement cost accounting procedures and regulations
• Prepare and manage operational and financial reports
• Conduct inventory valuation and calculate profits
• Determine and track project costs
• Manage cost databases and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Ensure accuracy of budget and financial reports
• Assist with internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance
• Use Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions
• Prepare cost forecasts and evaluate cost efficiency
• Use ADP - Financial Services and Crystal Reports for auditing and month-end close processes.

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cost Accounting role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Experienced in using ADP - Financial Services and Crystal Reports
• Familiarity with Epicor software will be advantageous
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven experience in Auditing and Budget Processes
• Ability to manage Cash Activity and perform Standard Cost Accounting
• Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
