We have a unique opportunity for a graduate to join a large and dynamic global organisation!

We are seeking a Finance Intern to join our Finance team in Portsmouth, for a 12 month placement as part of their university degree. You will report into a Business Unit Finance manager and be responsible for performing standardised SAP CO transactions as per work instructions. Role and duties will include:

  • To get a good understanding of an ERP
  • Get involved in daily, weekly and monthly activities plus gain an appreciation more complex issue list Excess and Obsolete and Transfer Price plus:
  • Standard cost planning as part of the annual AOP and new part number creation. Interaction with plant representatives in understanding BOM and routing changes
  • Production order (PDO) and Sales order (SDI) process including settlement of completed sales orders and review of audit logs and financial output.
  • Completion of standard HFM forms including Unwound Inventory, Headcount and Balance sheets.
  • Monitoring AUC (Asset Under Construction).
  • Cost centre spend review vs AOP and reporting key variances to plant cost centre owners.
  • Completion of daily/weekly plant flash reports to show actual vs forecast performance vs key important metrics and financial performance.
  • Build monthly spread templates and send to plant partners for forecast data.
  • Get involved with projects to implement standard work, process improvements or data mine to identify root cause.

Basic Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Intermediate use of Excel, including pivot tables and Lookups.
  • Good analytical skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills applicable across cultural and regional boundaries!
  • Second year university students looking for a 12 month placement as part of their degree.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
