Responsibilities:
HILL is seeking a Cost Controller with a focus on construction activities to integrate our team in Milan, mainly for Data Center projects.
The professional assigned must follow all aspects of the cost control process such as: the development and maintenance of the S-Curve, the budget report associated with project scope through project lifecycle. Responsibilities may also include earned value management system in collaboration with the schedule team. The Cost Controller must forecast cost to completion.
The Controller must be able to draw up cost estimates and feasibility studies. Previous experience in Technical Due Diligence will be considered as an important added value.
As a Cost Controller on site, the role involves the day-to-day monitoring of on-site construction. The expert will be responsible for all aspects of project cost control activities: process, monitor and track changes following an integrated change control process. The expert will prepare project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Estimate at Completion updates and Earned Value Management with the scheduler) to support project performance and financial report requirements and review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope. The expert will develop or oversee project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project performance information between project team members.
The cost controller must have a solid track record with cost estimation and feasibility studies.
Previous experience in capex estimation for Technical Due Diligence will be considered a plus.
The Cost Controller will work to manage project construction contracts, monitoring milestone and penalties. The expert will have the responsibility to follow up on all contracted deliverables and ensure quality assurance of the work performed by contractors. Additionally, will enforce the application of appropriate technical standards throughout the project and oversee contractors’ scheduling, conducting, and documentation of construction meetings, including progress meetings, safety meetings, and inspections, while also distributing the minutes of these meetings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 10 years of cost controller and or construction management experience
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Proven construction management experience in the Data Center/Hospital/Logistic sector will be considered a plus
- Cost Modeling
- Cost Monitoring
- Feasibility studies and cost estimation for Technical Due Diligence
- Professional accreditation as (PMI/PRINCE/AGILE or equivalent, LEED or BREEAM) will be considered a plus
- Driver license required
- All Candidates should be Eligible and/or hold a working VISA for Italy
- Workplace will be in Milan with presence on project sites
