COST ENGINEER (MECHANICAL ENGINEER) REQUIRED IN SOMERSET WEST.
A very well-established national manufacturing company is looking for a ‘’Cost Engineer (Mechanical Engineer Background)’’ to join their team on a full-time permanent basis at their premises in the Helderberg Area, CT.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity surveying or similar
- Experience in a costing / quotation role
- Expert level Excel skills.
- Proven experience in cost estimation, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Read mechanical drawings
- Experience with tendering & contractual documentation.
- Strong technical background with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost analysis techniques.
- Responds well to a high-pressure environment.
- High ethical standards with demonstrated integrity in professional conduct.
