The Cost Manager has experience across the whole range of Quantity Surveyors (QS) professional services and thus able to accurately report on the cost and commercial aspects of multiple projects being planned and executed concurrently.
In collaboration with the Senior Commercial Manager, the Cost Manager is responsible for quantitive analysis of projects varying in nature, size and value. Involvement will be from planning through the project inception, execution and completion stages up to and including aftercare and maintenance.
The incumbent will work closely with external professional team members consisting of Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, etc

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• BTech Quantity Surveying Diploma

  Job Related Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with cost planning and value engineering

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with procurement of suppliers, consultants and contractors
• Minimum 3 years experience with project cost- and commercial management

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Knowledge of the standard quantity surveying services across all project states and the application thereof
• Knowledge of the available standard forms of contracts for consultants and contractors and the application thereof
• Knowledge of cost planning, estimating and benchmarking systems and the application thereof
• In depth knowledge of multi project cost management and reporting systems and the application thereof
