Are you passionate about retail, consumer goods and the economics that underpin global supply chains?
The Tesco Sourcing team is at the pioneering edge of Sourcing strategy, Cost Modelling, End to End efficiencies and Price Risk Management in the Retail sector.
This role will offer the chance to develop world class cost model management and exposure to end to end analysis. You will develop analytical and communications skills whilst learning about the fundamental cost drivers of manufacturing FMCG goods.

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the cost base programme reviewing supply chain analysis from Raw Material, Inbound Logistics, Processing and Distribution.
  • Provide reports and helping with governance on supplier cost base models, identifying impacts, risks and opportunities.
  • Support sourcing team and own brand supply strategy decisions as well as buying teams with industry intelligence on cost structures.
  • Preparing periodic briefings to categories and senior management.
  • Participating in projects to drive efficiency across the business.
  • Working with our supplier/partners to assess cost drivers, business models and review capacity models.
  • Management of your own projects under supervision and running projects to critical paths.
  • Adhering to all Tesco policies, our Business Code of Conduct, always acting with integrity and due diligence.

You will need

  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Financial competency, understanding and ability to interpret financial statements and reporting.
  • Experience of delivering results using Business Improvement techniques.
  • Skilled in analytical software plus competent user of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in project management skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced culture of change.
