The Clinician may be responsible for providing any of the following services: trauma informed individual, family,couples/marital, group counseling, and/or psychoeducational training, presentations, or workshops to clients. Theclinician is responsible for completing documentation, reporting requirements and maintaining professional licensure.This position may be assigned to provide oversight and/or serve as a preceptor to graduate level interns.The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.As an employee of Catholic Charities, it is expected that the Clinician become familiar with the Catholic SocialTeachings and promote the integration of these values into the programs services.

The Expertise Were Looking For

  • Masters degree in mental health field, (Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy)
  • Licensed by the State of Texas as:
  • LPC Associate, or
  • LMFT Associate, or
  • LMSW in good standing with the respective board
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience providing direct clinical services in a mental health setting
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Valid Texas Drivers License

What you Deliver

  • Clinical Services: Utilizes clinical skills including screening, conducting assessment, diagnosis, documentation,developing and implementing treatment plans, providing referrals; reporting abuse and/or neglect, or suspicionof such safety concerns to the appropriate authorities. May provide individual and/or group counseling.
  • Participates and provides in workshops and presentations and may supervise an assigned intern/student to ensurecompliance with ethical practices and promote professional growth. Participate in all mandatory agency, funderor regulatory meeting. Participate in case staffing and consultation.
  • Documentation: Completes required documentation of client progress within required timeframes, maintainingclient records in accordance with regulatory/agency standards. Completing data entry tasks associated withtracking measurable outcomes and performance management.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and maintain professional licensure per position/funderrequirements. Provide training and presentations as required by your supervisor, program, agency and/or funder.
  • Networking and Outreach: Participates in interagency and community networking, outreach, and programpromotion opportunities. Contributes to the development of strong interagency partnerships by serving clientsreferred by fellow agency programs and regularly communicating with client case managers and other staff toprovide effective treatment. Performs other duties as required such as participating in staff retreats, United Waytours, agency fairs and speaking engagements, assisting with special organizational projects/events, etc.
