We are currently recruiting for the roles of Counter Assistant(s), both Full and Part time, in our sunning location in Powerscourt, Enniskerry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Counter Assistant, your role is to assist our customers through all stages of their visit to our store and help and support your colleagues and managers to deliver the true Avoca experience to every customer, every time.

COMPETENCIES

Excellent Customer Service Skills - the ability to go “above and beyond”
HACCP trained (this will be provided)
Willingness regarding training on different sections is required. Cafe Assistant Assistants are expected to pursue interests in different aspects of the foodhall, such as product knowledge, barista training, training on cheese and charcuterie etc.
Be a creative and innovative thinker
Proven track record of seeking responsibility
Attention to detail
Have good problem-solving skills
Be teamwork champion
Great time keeping flexibility is a must

Responsibilities:

Making sure stock is replenished, displays are tidy
Develop product knowledge to assist the customer and offer advice
Assisting with cycle counts
Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager
Supporting your colleagues across all departments as and when required
Setting up workspaces so they are clean and stocked up for the next shift
Ad hoc duties as per business requirements
