JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Country Business Leader for BD Interventional plays a key role in shaping and implementing business strategies tailored to the specific needs of the country while aligning with the broader BDI EMEA vision. This role focuses on driving sales and income growth through strategic leadership and collaboration across various teams, ensuring seamless execution of sales plans, and fostering business success. The position requires a dynamic leader capable of managing complex responsibilities across a matrix organisation, collaborating with the EMEA Interventional team, and leading a country-based sales and support team.
BD Interventional (BDI) focus on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions aiming at advancing the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full P&L accountability for the Interventional business in the country.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for growth, with a focus on new products and market expansion.
  • Lead the execution of strategic sales and marketing plans, ensuring alignment with EMEA business objectives.
  • Oversee talent management, including succession planning and development of the Interventional team.
  • Collaborate with country and EMEA leadership to shape and implement localised business strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to drive business success.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of distribution strategies and accurate product forecasting.
  • Lead market research initiatives to adapt strategies based on evolving customer needs and industry trends.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, and operations to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
