Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within financial services, with a focus on digital assets or related fields.
  • Must have experience in holding the RR (responsable du respect des obligations) role for a financial services firm, or else demonstrable experience and/or understanding of Luxembourg AML/CTF rules and regulations, associated importance, and effective control implementation.
  • Previous experience of having oversight and responsibility for Finance, Risk, Compliance, HR, Technology, Security, and Legal in a licensed/registered financial services firm.
  • Pre-requisite of the role is successful interview, assessment and approval by the CSSF as authorised manager. Previous experience in an authorised manager role highly preferable.
  • Experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors and engaging with regulators.
  • Based in Lux or greater region only
  • Strong understanding of Luxembourg’s financial services regulations, especially regarding crypto and digital assets.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client relationships, particularly with institutional clients.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and business development skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages would be a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment with a deep cultural understanding.
  • Demonstrated passion for crypto and digital asset solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues creatively.
  • Proactive and self-driven with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.

Responsibilities:

The Country Lead for Zodia Custody Luxembourg will be responsible for establishing and driving Zodia’s strategic initiatives within the Eurpoean market as a MICA-licensed entity. As the senior representative, you will lead all aspects of our operations, client interactions, and market development, ensuring Zodia’s presence is felt strongly across the region.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Holder of authorised manager role with the CSSF, Holding responsibility and accountability with the CSSF for oversight of Finance, Risk, Compliance, HR, Technology, Security, and Legal pursuant to the MICA regulation.
  • Holder of the ‘RR’ (responsable du respect des obligations) role – the person with responsibility for Zodia Custody Europe’s compliance with Luxembourg AML/CTF rules and regulations..
  • Developing and executing the company’s strategic plan for Europe to drive business growth and market penetration.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key institutional clients and stakeholders in the region.
  • Leading local operations and ensuring compliance with Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with global teams to align Zodia Custody Europe’s offerings with Zodia’s overall business strategy and product development.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to set and implement the firms vision, meet local regulatory requirements, and build strong relationships with regulators, clients and stakeholders.
  • Representing Zodia at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and promote our services.
  • Identifying new market trends and opportunities, especially in the digital asset space, and proposing initiatives to capitalize on them.
  • Providing feedback to the product team to ensure that our offerings meet local client needs and regulatory requirements.

In summary, the Country Lead will play a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for Zodia’s success in Europe as a licensed firm as we aim to expand our footprint in Europe.
