Description:

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started back in 2000, we have been striving to make the most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.
Are you ready to play a crucial role in our team at JetBrains? We’re currently looking for a Country Manager to lead our office in Amsterdam, driving our company forward and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. JetBrains opened an office in Amsterdam five years ago, and now we have five hundred employees there. We’d like to strengthen our presence in the country and its local community.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company: Act as the face of our company, handling negotiations, signing contracts, and engaging with stakeholders while following company policies and legal requirements. We expect you to be in contact with local authorities and advocate for the interest of the company in the scope of employer branding, potential benefits for the company, immigration support, medical support, and integration support of our expat employees.
  • Integrate the company in the local tech and IT community: Participate in associations, collaborate with local communities, and network with relevant companies.
  • Manage corporate strategy: Ensure the smooth running of our operations and alignment with shareholder interests and corporate goals by providing feedback and strategic advice to the CAO.
  • Ensure compliance and governance: Fulfill our legal obligations, establish local policies, and adhere to regulatory standards in line with the company’s global policies.
  • Supervise communication and outreach: Keep partners updated on key developments, promoting transparency and trust within the organization.
  • Oversee local operations: Implement company strategies locally, managing the Office Administration team efficiently and in line with global standards.
  • Build relationships: Cultivate long-term relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and authorities, representing our company with professionalism.
  • Perform financial and business oversight: Supervise and approve the financial performance of the office and its business activities in collaboration with the CFO and CAO, ensuring all accounting procedures are duly performed.
  • Lead teams: Guide and support the Office Management team, setting goals, following common group standards and expectations.
  • Ensure employee safety and well-being: Create a safe and inclusive workplace, complying with local laws and fostering a positive culture.
  • Organize and run events: Organize local events to support our company’s goals and foster the office’s development, participate in notable local events, and represent the company there.
  • Support professional development: Provide training and growth opportunities for local staff, nurturing talent and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Resolve issues: Address challenges promptly, analyze situations, and find effective solutions to support the office’s growth.
  • Promote our corporate culture: Uphold and promote our company culture, fostering collaboration and support among employees.
  • Engage with the wider community: Serve as the main contact for local matters, internally and externally, advocating for our office and its interests.
