WHO YOU ARE
- Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or Tax expected and good understanding of Local Taxes, mainly corporate taxes and VAT with at least 4-5 years’ experience in a multinational company either in a tax function or finance areas with exposure to taxes - or from an accounting and tax services advisory company
- Fluent in local language and proficient in English to collaborate internally across the broader Roche enterprise is expected.
- Good understanding of Local Taxes, mainly corporate taxes and VAT and good accounting knowledge and familiarity to use of the business IT systems is an advantage - Microsoft Office, SAP and Google being the main ones
- Ability to contribute directly in fulfilling the essential duties linked to the position and strong interpersonal intelligence, ability to act as a selfless servant leader, mentor and coach, ability to build bridges across geographical, cultural and functional boundaries to enhance collaboration
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members, proven ability to deliver innovative, non-traditional business solutions and to manage and lead projects with an outcome based mindset
- Thinking from an enterprise level, beyond boundaries and borders in order to bring the best possible outcomes, leveraging the internal and external networks to create value

Responsibilities:
- Supporting the management of Local Tax Operations (Returns, Payments), even in cooperation with external consultants
- Implementing effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
- Providing instructions for Tax Accounting and Payments
- Supporting the implementation of Transfer Pricing according to Group Policy
- Implementing Global Tax Policies and interacting with local Tax Authorities and Tax Audits
- Delivering business support in the respective area and providing first class support for our business’ internal needs and request regarding process improvements in the field of accounting
- Actively participating in cross-functional, cross-divisional projects that generate value and share expertise to further develop the impact of Roche Network
