THE POSITION

Juniata County Children and Youth Services is looking for a County Social Services Aide 1 that will share in our mission to safeguard children, ensure their stability, and enhance their overall well-being. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will support and undergo training from experienced social services staff to deliver services to children, youth, and families. Responsibilities include organizing, transporting, and accompanying clients to various appointments and locations, providing essential information, assisting with daily living activities, home maintenance, and equipment distribution, as well as supervising children during office visits and in crisis situations. Additionally, routine clerical duties will be performed.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
