Description:

We have a fantastic full-time opportunity for a passionate individual to lead our New Zealand transportation team as a Courier Team Leader, based in Hamilton. This role requires you to complete daily courier runs while also coordinating our team of couriers with allocation of set runs, rostering of courier staff, supporting the courier fleet, and ensuring compliance for vehicles and staff. You will also need to provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and accurate collection of samples and delivery to the laboratory. In addition, your responsibilities may include:
Daily courier runs between 6.30pm and 12.00am.
Employee training as required.
Determining the most effective routes to deliver samples to the laboratory in a timely manner.
Daily review and approval of courier driver times through “TANDA”
Preparing fortnightly rosters and arrange coverage to ensure IDEXX service offering to all clients.
Conducting performance reviews, monitoring courier run performance and onboarding new courier drivers.
Implementing endorsed IDEXX administrative and HR procedures and practices and monitor to ensure that all staff are aware of, and compliant with these procedures.
Participating in recruitment, selection, disciplinary action training and development of staff. Evaluate performance, provide feedback and recognize achievement.
You will have
A full driver’s license – essential and a clean Driving History
New Zealand National Certificate of Achievement or equivalent preferred
Experience working as a courier or delivery role
Customer service experience with outstanding supervisory and relationship building skills
Professional presentation and attitude
Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
Ability to identify and report process inefficiencies and assist with implementing improvements
Proven leadership skills highly regarded
