Job Summary:
This job requires individuals to provide occasional course consultant acting services by simulating individuals, family members, couples, and service users for students in experiential learning training at the School of Social Work. The candidates will participate in preparatory meetings and complete any preparation work (ie. readings) associated with the simulation for which they are hired. Most importantly, they will act out the characteristics of the characters they have been assigned on the day and time of the simulation. They will ensure to read through the requests sent to them by the Simulation Centre project coordinator to ensure that they are comfortable with the roles that have been assigned.
Simulation Centre Course Consultant Actors will be contacted on a punctual, as-needed basis in regards to upcoming simulations.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 acting-related course or 1 year of informal acting experience.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
Ability to be punctual and professional.
