Description:

1X CASUAL COURT REGISTRY OFFICER FOR WELLINGTON TRIBUNALS

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented individuals to be part of a team set up to directly support the Tenancy Tribunal.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the judicial officers and case parties have all the information they need, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Interacting with participants on any case related matter. Customer queries can come in via phone, or electronically – so you will need to be confident communicator, and comfortable with electronic systems.
  • Planning and scheduling of case events, including putting logistics in place to ensure cases are heard without delay

To be successful in the role you will need to be:

  • Detail orientated and observant – we have many different processes and case information needs to be accurate.
  • Organised – hearings and events have set dates and times, so you will need to be comfortable working within time constraints.
  • Self-aware – our participants are unique so you will be confident working both individually and as a team, across a range of situations.
  • Able to prioritise –some of our processes are repetitive, but you’ll be able to manage conflicting priorities and move from one task to another quickly
  • Willing to learn – legislation and processes are always changing so you will be able to adapt and maintain knowledge capital.
  • Resilient– there are times you will be working on sensitive cases and sometimes at high volume.
  • Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi and understand these in a Ministry context
